The Maintenance technician provides a variety of standard and skilled tasks in the maintenance and repair of grounds and facilities. Maintain building and grounds in a clean, safe, and orderly fashion. Maintain and repair functions of the center as determined by the maintenance director/supervisor.
II. Core CompetenciesDeliver excellent customer service to tenants. Respond to work order in a timely manner. Maintain excellent documentation/communication regarding status of work orders. Maintain building and grounds is clean, safe and repairs are completed in a professional manner.
III. Position ResponsibilitiesWork closely with and follows directions from the maintenance director/supervisor. Take care of tools and equipment; reporting any tools found to be unsafe or broken immediately to director/supervisor. Must be available for snow removal and is expected to be on site during snowstorms or any other seasonal, weather related emergency situation. Ensure that residents and families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere.
Perform other duties as assigned.
- Perform all tasks generated by the work order system and document all work performed as required.
- Remain on call, (once every six weeks), for 24 hours a day during the call period.
- Renovate apartments and ensure work is completed on time.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry.
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
- Must have excellent organization and time management skills.
- Must have excellent customer service skills.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift, pull, and pushing 50 (fifty) pounds
