Job Description

Duration: 36 months+ Contract

3rd Shift Equipment Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities include troubleshooting production equipment, performing preventative maintenance, working with maintenance software, and assisting with equipment build projects. The role involves performing moderately complex technical duties requiring judgment and interpretation of test results, providing process and product improvement recommendations, all under minimal supervision.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Respond promptly to production equipment issues on the floor, troubleshooting and repairing as necessary.
  • Complete and document scheduled preventative maintenance on production equipment.
  • Work under engineering guidance to initiate improvements in equipment capability, reliability, and repeatability, including suggesting upgrades or modifications to enhance quality and reduce waste.
  • Design or execute hardware/software/test procedures and process designs from concept or incomplete engineering documents.
  • Conduct tests to verify hardware/software/process functionality based on non-detailed instructions.
  • Assess device, process, or material performance, troubleshoot issues, and identify corrective actions.
  • Interpret results and prepare clear, accurate reports of findings.
  • Maintain contacts with suppliers for evaluation and selection of new parts, equipment, or materials.
  • Handle hazardous and non-hazardous waste appropriately, following safety protocols.
  • Provide training to personnel within and outside the immediate team on functional activities.

  • Negotiation, delegation, analytical, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, robots, leak testers, UV dispensing systems, ultrasonic welding, centrifuges.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word.
  • Effective verbal communication skills for reporting issues and ideas.
  • Technical writing skills.
  • Knowledge of equipment automation.
