Maintenance Mechanic; Handyman

Brooklyn Center is now hiring a Maintenance Technician (Handyman) to join our Skilled Nursing Facility!

We’re looking for a dependable and skilled individual to help maintain a safe, comfortable, and well-functioning environment for our residents and staff.

Compensation:
Rate is based on experience, skills, and possession of an FDNY Certificate of Fitness (COF)
DUTIES:

· Assist with regular facility & equipment inspections for safety, upkeep, and appearance.

· Responding to maintenance requests by Staff & Residents.

· Repairing and maintaining vacated rooms in a timely manner.

· Be available for emergency troubleshooting & repairs of equipment.

· Ensure that all equipment is clean and in working condition at all times.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry & general maintenance.

· Min. high school diploma or equivalent.

· Strong work ethic and ability to take initiative.

· Ability to multitask/stay on task & maintain focus in stressful situations.

· Ability to work effectively individually and as a team member.

· Drivers Licensed Preferred

· Must be on call every other weekend.
