Maintenance Technician
Our client, a leading organization in the pharmaceutical R&D sector, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the Engineering & Maintenance department supporting a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Location: New York, NY - 450 East 29th Street
Pay Range: $30 - $31 per hour
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm - possible OT
What's the Job?
- Perform maintenance of safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, and emergency showers.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
- Inspect installations for compliance with safety codes and regulations.
- Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
- Support energy management by ensuring efficient operation of all building systems.
What's Needed?
- 3-5 years of general maintenance experience on mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
- Basic HVAC skills.
- High school diploma or GED; trade school preferred.
- FDNY COF: G46, G79 or willingness to obtain.
- Basic computer skills.
