Custodian Position
Delaware County Community College is dedicated to maintaining a clean and safe environment for our employees and visitors. We are seeking a diligent and reliable full-time Custodian to join our team. The Custodian will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure that our facilities are clean, safe, and presentable. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic.
Primary work hours: 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Position is open until filled.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
- Dust and clean surfaces, including windows, mirrors, and fixtures
- Refinish floors and clean carpets
- Assist with setting up and breaking down for events and meetings
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate must have the ability to read and write and follow simple instructions; two years custodian experience in a school setting preferred; able to read and understand English; ability to work independently and as part of a team; able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds of weight; able to work additional hours and some weekends as needed; first shift must have transportation (6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.);
may be required to work on ladders or lifts.

Act 153 Clearances (Act 34 PA Criminal Background History, Act 151 PA Child Abuse History, Act 114 FBI Clearance);
