Job DescriptionRequirements
- High School Diploma or GED in English.
- Three (3) years of prior experience in a related field.
- Valid Texas Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
- Forklift certification required; may be obtained on the job.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse receiving area.
- Maintain warehouse receiving system software.
- Verify accuracy of shipments by counting, weighing, describing, or identifying code numbers with invoice or packing slip and purchase orders; record any discrepancies or damage.
- Open crates and other containers using hand tools to unpack items and inspect for damage and defects.
- Sort and store items according to established procedures (e.g., fixed assets, textbooks, etc.).
- Read and fill requisitions for book items; verify accuracy of orders pulled.
- Move merchandise to various locations manually or by operating mechanical equipment such as a forklift, pallet jack, or handcart.
- Load and unload delivery truck by hand or using a hand truck as needed.
- Drive truck to schools/departments to deliver materials and/or books; obtain authorized signature for supplies delivered.
- Requisition additional supplies as needed to ensure all items are available.
- Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to production workers.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new campuses and classroom additions.
- Maintain forklift certification.
- Drive District vehicle to and from work site; obey all traffic laws.
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Maintain a high level of ethical behavior as expected of all District employees.
- Maintain professional growth by attending in-service meetings as requested/required.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Director.
Full‑Time
Salary$15.50 Per Hour
