Maintain Our Facilities & Systems
Perform repair and preventive maintenance to the Center's facility and building systems. Conduct periodic inspections of building systems and equipment to ensure everything is working safely and efficiently, and complete assigned work orders in a timely, accurate manner.
Oversee Quality & Resources
Research and recommend the purchase of replacement equipment as needed. Inspect the work of other maintenance personnel, and oversee the activities and quality of outside contractors performing repairs or equipment replacement.
Mentor & Support Students
Mentor, monitor, and model the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH. May oversee training activities of students assigned to the maintenance area, coordinate with the Facilities Maintenance vocational training program where applicable, and supervise Work-Based Learning students assigned to the department. Provide student transport as necessary.
Uphold Standards & Collaborate
Produce thorough, timely, and accurate work while maintaining strong attendance, accountability, and productivity. Communicate clearly in writing and in person, identify and resolve problems with sound judgment, and partner with staff across all departments. Accept direction from the Center Director, Duty Officer, or Shift Manager — including occasional cross-department assignments — and take on other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring Required- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience in building maintenance
- A valid in-state driver's license, meeting Company insurability requirements
- Ability to lift 40 pounds, or to assess a load and request assistance as needed
- Advanced degree or technical certificate
- Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, boilers, and other building systems
This role involves sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to lift 40 pounds, or to assess a lift load and ask for necessary assistance.
