Senior Coating Technician

As a Senior Coating Technician, you will be accountable for all daily field tasks. Your role involves independently performing all activities essential to day‑to‑day operations without supervision, and training and mentoring technicians and laborers.
What You'll Do- Identify where and when to perform abrasive blasting, water blasting, injection grouting, coatings, holiday tests, and adhesion tests.
- Consistently lead and coach others on STAC meetings.
- Communicate effectively with the foreman and superintendent.
- Lead a team of laborers and technicians when required.
- Assess conditions and issues, and determine suitable corrective action.
- Maintain a positive attitude; motivate the team to perform.
- Accurately observe and report conditions and issues to the supervisor.
- Train others to perform abrasive blast, water blast, injection grouting, apply coatings, and conduct holiday/adhesion testing.
- Competent Person Trained in confined space, fall protection, silica, and scaffolding.
- Operate and maintain pump systems and spray equipment.
- Safely drive a pickup truck with a trailer attached.
- Evaluate defective or damaged equipment and take corrective action.
- Engage in, and provide input to, project planning meetings with the superintendent.
- Minimum of 3 years in high-performance coating application.
