Guardrail Maintenance Technician - BUDA, TX

Position Overview

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. (Jorgensen) is a world leader in maintenance management. We are seeking a full‑time Highway Maintenance Technician in Buda, Texas to perform maintenance operations on IH35, including debris removal, sign and guardrail repair, concrete repair, and adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.

• 0‑2 years of related experience in guardrail installation and repair

• MOT Certifications (traffic control)

• Clean driving record essential
• Must pass criminal background check
• CDL A license a plus
• Roadway or tollway maintenance experience
• Concrete form work, concrete placement, and repairs
• Operator experience with wheel loader, skidsteer, forklift, asphalt roller, etc.

• High School Diploma/GED
• Maintain company standards for background checks (criminal record, driving record, and controlled substance/drug testing)
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
• Carry out simple arithmetic functions
• Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
• Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
• Ability to use smartphone and applications
• Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
• Ability to work safely under varying environmental and weather conditions
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly while twisting; other strenuous manual labor may be required
• Ability to operate hand/power tools

Full time;
Monday–Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm, with some night and weekend work if needed. Must work during snow and ice events. Will be placed on an on‑call schedule.

• Day shift: starting rate of $18.50/hr (no prior highway maintenance experience)
• Guardrail experience: $19.50/hr
• Night shift: $19.50/hr
• CDL Drivers: $24.00/hr
• Higher pay may be offered with skills, certifications, and/or experience in construction.
