Highway Maintenance Technician (Buda, TX)

Position Summary: Perform maintenance operations on IH35 in the Buda, TX area. Tasks include highway maintenance, debris removal, sign and guardrail repair, concrete repair, and other related activities while complying with federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.

• 0-2 years of construction labor experience (commercial, industrial, residential, roadway, heavy civil, warehouse, etc.)

• Guardrail installation and repair
• Roadway or tollway maintenance
• Concrete form work, placement, and repairs
• Operation of wheel loader, skid steer, forklift, or asphalt roller
• MOT certifications (traffic control)
• Clean driving record; CDL A license a plus

• High School Diploma or GED
• Compliance with background checks, driving record, and drug testing
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
• Basic arithmetic skills
• Use of safety equipment on each job
• Adaptability to new technology and smartphone applications
• Flexibility to adjust to changing work schedules
• Ability to work safely in varied environmental and weather conditions
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly; ability to perform strenuous manual labor
• Operation of hand and power tools
• Must pass a criminal background check

Full‑time;
Monday‑Friday, 7:30 am–4:00 pm. Some night and weekend work may be required, including snow and ice events. On‑call schedule will be assigned.

Day shift starting rate $18.50/hr with no prior highway maintenance experience; guardrail experience starts at $19.50/hr.
Night shift starting rate $19.50/hr.
