Overview
The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized facility environment that supports production, warehouse, and office operations. This position performs routine cleaning, sanitation, waste removal, and basic facility upkeep while complying with all company safety and quality standards. The Custodian helps ensure that employees, visitors, and customers experience a professional and well‑maintained workplace. Supports cleanliness, upkeep, and sanitation standards across 150k sq ft Distribution Center.
Assists with special cleaning projects and facility improvement initiatives as assigned.
Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm
Compensation DetailsThe expected pay rate for this position starts at $22.00 per hour depending on experience.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Clean and sanitize production, warehouse, office, restroom, breakroom, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and maintain floors and surfaces.
- Replenish restroom and breakroom supplies as needed.
- Follow established cleaning schedules and sanitation procedures.
- Collect and dispose of trash from designated areas.
- Manage recycling materials according to company requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness around dumpsters and waste collection areas.
- Perform minor maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and reporting facility issues.
- Assist with facility setups, moves, and general housekeeping projects.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and notify supervision of repair needs.
- Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
- Identify and report hazards, spills, or unsafe conditions promptly.
- Maintain compliance with company housekeeping standards.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1 year of custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, warehouse, or facility maintenance experience (preferred).
