The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for supervising and performing all maintenance and repair activities to machinery, equipment, and facility. This position performs a variety of maintenance functions in and around the facility, providing routine, emergency, and scheduled maintenance to the building and associated equipment. The Maintenance Supervisor performs manual tasks and preventive maintenance and maintains the facility in top condition while managing and assisting others on the team.
WhatYou Will Do
- Coordinate with management to schedule repairs and preventive maintenance of all AC units and dehumidifiers.
- Inspect, repair, and replace or install equipment such as fans, dehumidifiers, railings, lights, drives, doors, ramps, and related items.
- Maintain records of preventive maintenance for all equipment.
- Add proven improvement processes to all preventive maintenance and turn schedules.
- Arrange, assemble, install, and maintain irrigation systems and troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Utilize, maintain, and repair power tools and mobile equipment.
- Conduct daily visual inspections inside and outside the facility.
- Perform basic plumbing repairs such as plugged sewer lines, urinals, commodes, faucets, and water valves.
- Assist with the operation and arrangement of the sanitation area when needed.
- Inspect facilities and equipment to ensure company standards and safety regulations are maintained.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Manage general facility maintenance and troubleshooting as necessary.
- Establish and implement policies and procedures to respond to facility and safety‑related issues.
- Meet maintenance financial standards by providing annual budget information, monitoring expenditures, identifying variances, and implementing corrective actions.
- Provide direct supervision of maintenance staff and indirect supervision of contracted cleaning staff.
- Oversee adherence to compliance with health and safety standards and company policies and procedures.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of general repair and building maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building equipment.
- EPA certification preferred.
- Basic knowledge of computers and printers.
- Proficient with tape measuring and other measuring tools.
- Skilled in safe use of power tools, wrenches, and other shop equipment.
- Capable of operating forklifts and scissor lifts.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction and exercise independent judgment.
- Demonstrates integrity, dedication, positive work attitude, and strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow multi‑layered written and oral instructions accurately.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail with speed and accuracy.
- Effective time‑management and ability to multi‑task.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook and Excel.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
