Job Title: LP Contract Cleaner (Contract Cleaner)

Location: Buffalo, NY & surrounding areas

Pay: $15.50 per hour

Shift: Per Diem – Up to 20 hours per week (typically Monday‑Friday; some sites may run on weekends & holidays)

Department: Adult Services

Position Summary: The Janitorial Contract Cleaner performs janitorial work at sites within the community as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Duties:

• General cleaning of offices, restrooms, entrances, stairwells, and common areas.
• Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners; clean receptacles.
• Operate vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, buffers, and other power tools.
• Dust and clean office furniture.
• Specialized cleaning (carpet stripping and refinishing, washing walls and windows).
• Clean windows and window sills.
• Wear safety equipment for personal protection.
• Maintain janitor closets in a clean, safe, and operable condition.

• High School diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• At least 1 year of paid work experience in industrial, building, maintenance, or janitorial settings.
• Valid NYS Driver’s license preferred (not required); reliable transportation is mandatory.
• Ability and willingness to learn all janitorial duties, including operating auto scrubbers & burnishers.
• Strong attention to detail; ability to move from task to task with minimal direction.
• Flexibility in job assignments and work hours; ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• Good judgment and ability to work independently and cooperatively.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude.
• Physical stamina to handle janitorial tasks; exposure risk as outlined on form (A).
