HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Buffalo Marriott at LECOM HARBOR CENTER seeking a Overnight Engineer. Full-time and part-time positions available. Weekend and holiday hours required. Responsible for upkeep, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting with ice machines, refrigeration units, and air handling units, as well as other general maintenance within the hotel. The ideal applicant will be customer service-oriented and willing to go the extra mile to make the guest experience one to remember.
Requires a background in commercial refrigeration and knowledge of ice machines, industrial chiller systems, and air handling units. Also requires basic working knowledge of general maintenance procedures. Subject to employer drug screening, reference/criminal background checks. On bus route.
The Engineering Department is responsible for implementing and maintaining the maintenance operation for the exterior and interior facilities, including but not limited to life safety issues, electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, HVAC, structural, finishes, landscaping and grounds, and all areas of the hotel's physical plant.
Responsibilities- Conduct walk-throughs and visually assess the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of the physical structures of the hotel, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC system and any other related equipment.
- Implement and maintain the Preventative Maintenance and Room Care program.
- Respond to guest issues in a timely, courteous manner and communicate with department heads to advise of maintenance needs and ensure timely response to internal requests.
Job Type: Full-time & Part-time
Pay: $25 per hour
