Job Description Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout assigned areas while ensuring high standards of cleanliness and presentation. Perform routine and proactive cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, disinfecting, and removing waste from classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas. Collaborate with supervisors, site managers, caretakers, and other staff to support daily operations, school events, and facility activities.

Monitor cleaning supply inventory and report stock shortages, equipment needs, maintenance concerns, and health and safety hazards to management. Follow all health and safety regulations, quality standards, and established cleaning procedures while operating custodial equipment safely. Work effectively both independently and as part of a team to ensure facility cleanliness and support organizational goals. Safely lift, carry, and move cleaning supplies, equipment, and materials weighing up to 30 pounds as needed.

Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience in commercial, custodial, or school cleaning is preferred. Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Familiarity with workplace health and safety regulations and the ability to follow established policies and procedures. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.

Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and collaborate effectively with supervisors and team members. Reliable, punctual, and dependable with excellent communication skills. Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting or moving items up to 30 pounds throughout the workday.
