Custodial Positions Available a the following locations:  Harkness Career and Technical Education Center, Cheektowaga, NY  Potter Career & Technical Education Center, West Seneca, NY  Kenton Career and Technical Education Center, Tonawanda, NY    As a Custodian at Erie 1 BOCES, you’ll play an important role in creating safe, clean, and welcoming learning environments for students and staff . Qualifications:

There is no civil service examination required for this position for the duration of the NY HELPS Program. Candidates must meet the minimum civil service qualifications for a NY HELPS appointment as follows:

A) Graduation from High School or Vocational School or possession of a High School Equivalency diploma and one (1) year of experience in commercial cleaning practice or general building maintenance including experience in any one (1) of the following trades; Carpentry, Electrical, H.V. and A.C. Systems, Plumbing; OR,  

B) Five (5) years of experience in commercial cleaning practices or general building maintenance, including experience in any one (1) of the following trades; Carpentry, Electrical, H.V. and A.C. Systems, Plumbing; OR,  

C) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B).
