Job Location:
Buffalo, NYSalary Range: $18.00 - $18.00 Hourly
This position is responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of the assigned organization’s facilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESPrimary Responsibilities:
- Maintains sanitary conditions in and around the facility(s)
- Monitor and clean up debris outside of building
- Maintain the heating system at the facility.
- Make repairs and perform general maintenance duties such as painting, simple carpentry work, and plumbing.
- Maintain housekeeping inventory at the facility.
- Reports any serious maintenance and repair needs to supervisor.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and tenants.
- Conduct routine inspections of buildings and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
- Follow all safety protocol and procedures.
- Track service requests
- Must present a professional image in conduct, attitude, and attire.
- Satisfactory completion of mandatory trainings.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Demonstrated ability to perform basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, mechanical repairs.
- Familiarity with maintenance tools and equipment.
- Basic arithmetic skills to take measurements and calculate material requirements for projects
- Organizational skills to maintain neat and clean maintenance and storage areas.
- Observation skills to conduct routine inspections and diagnose maintenance issues
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Time Management skills to complete all assigned service requests and additional tasks during shift.
- Strong commitment in maintaining confidentiality.
- Adhere to safety practices and procedures.
- Demonstrates good judgment and dependability.
- Basic computer skills
- Requires prolonged standing and walking.
- Ability to climb, (including ladders) stoop, crawl, twist, and squat on a constant basis.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Requires physical exertion to manually move, lift, carry, pull or push heavy objects or materials.
- Required to work outside in hot, humid, or cold environments.
- Physical examination record or pass physical examination by a CAO physician
- Valid NYS Driver’s License and proof of motor vehicle insurance coverage
- Completion of the following documents:
- CAO Employment application
- NYS SCR Clearance Form with acceptable clearance
- Criminal Record Certification and free of criminal convictions of crimes against children (misdemeanor or felony)
- Fingerprinting required.
- Release for Reference Checks
