Job Summary

We are seeking a Production Supervisor to support one of our unannounced CG animated feature films.
Reporting to the Producer and Production Manager, the Production Supervisor keeps the department on schedule and on budget.
- Create and update workflow documents for your department
- Create schedules and tools with the Production Manager to track departmental deliverables and manage day‑to‑day needs and resources
- Serve as the main source of information for in‑house artists, hold regular check‑ins and get to know the crew
- Oversee department reviews with show leadership, set meeting expectations and ensure approvals happen on time
- Supervise delivery of review materials to key stakeholders for notes
- Ensure the department stays within approved parameters and elevate potential problems to the Production Manager or Line Producer with corrective ideas
- Generate daily/weekly status reports; analyze them to keep the department on schedule, forecast overtime needs, and spot vulnerabilities
- Supervise shot and sequence breakdowns
- Set up Shot Grid, troubleshoot workflow challenges, and refine processes
- Train and supervise Production Coordinators and Production Assistants in delivering creative partner packages
- Manage inventory flow within the department
- Collaborate with the Department Head to cast assignments and set deadlines
- Set up and attend external partner studio kick‑offs and related meetings
- Liaise with external partner studios and their technical leads on file‑transfer and review protocols
- Organize and maintain systems that track actual vs scheduled dates for all department activities
- Perform other job‑related duties as assigned
- 2+ years experience as a Production Supervisor on a CG feature film or related experience
- Working knowledge of asset and shot tracking systems, preferably Shot Grid
- Experience in Google Suite (preferred) and/or Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Final Draft, Storyboard Pro, Photoshop, and Maya
- Experience working with vendor studios
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lead positively and encourage collaboration
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, constantly evolving environment while managing time and priorities
- Self‑starter who works well independently and as part of a team
This role is based onsite out of the Burbank office. In‑office preference.
Compensation and BenefitsThe overall market range for this role is typically $104,000–107,000. This reflects total compensation; we do not have bonuses. This job may be covered by a collective bargaining agreement, and if so, pay is governed by the applicable agreement with no less than $2000/week and up to any better conditions negotiated. Depending on coverage, benefits can include medical/dental/vision plans, mental health support, retirement programs, family‑forming benefits, paid leave of absence, and paid time away programs for vacation and sick time.
