Position: Youth Services Coordinator (YSC)- Transition Specialist
Duties

The Youth Services Coordinator (YSC) works collaboratively with the Department of Rehabilitation Services in managing the AERO STEP contract. The YSC supports students from the AERO High School Districts and AERO programs in learning and navigating the possible resources available from DRS upon graduation. The YSC oversees the cooperative's STEP work program, including job coaches and networking with area work sites.

The YSC will assist in the development of Transition Plans for students ages 14 1/2 through graduation enrolled in district programs. The job description attached provides detailed information.

Qualifications

* Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in rehabilitation counseling, special education, education, guidance and

counseling or a closely related human services guidance field.

* Minimum of one year's experience in rehabilitation, special education or closely related human services

field.

* Strong communication skills required.

Salary/Benefits

Compensation:
Per Collective Bargaining Agreement

Sick Leave Plan: 12 Sick Days, 2 Personal Days

Terms of Employment:
School Year calendar as established by the Collective Bargaining Agreement + 20 Additional Days (paid at daily rate)

Work day is 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM
