Special Education Teacher, Elementary School

Key Qualifications &
Experience:
- Active Illinois PEL (Professional Educator License) with Special Education endorsement
- Experience working with elementary or middle school students, preferably in a resource setting
- Ability to collaborate effectively with classroom staff, specialists, and families
- Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills
- Commitment to supporting inclusive education and individualized student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with IEPs in elementary or middle resource settings
- Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to individual student strengths, needs, and goals
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Partner with para educators and support staff as required by student IEPs
- Participate in IEP meetings, communicate regularly with families, and collaborate with general education teachers
- Uphold all onboarding requirements, including successful completion of fingerprint clearance
