Special Education Teacher | Burbank, Illinois

Working within a dynamic school setting, you’ll be assigned to either an elementary or middle school in a cohesive and collaborative district, allowing you to make a direct difference in students lives.

Key Qualifications &

Experience:

• Active Illinois PEL (Professional Educator License) with Special Education endorsement
• Experience working with elementary or middle school students, preferably in a resource setting
• Ability to collaborate effectively with classroom staff, specialists, and families
• Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills
• Commitment to supporting inclusive education and individualized student needs

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with IEPs in elementary or middle resource settings
• Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to individual student strengths, needs, and goals
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Partner with para educators and support staff as required by student IEPs
• Participate in IEP meetings, communicate regularly with families, and collaborate with general education teachers
• Uphold all onboarding requirements, including successful completion of fingerprint clearance
