Recreation Maintenance Supervisor

Primary Duty

Plans, coordinates, oversees, and performs maintenance and repair activities for the recreation facilities including the fitness and aquatics areas and assigned assets to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations while maintaining a high standard of appearance, functionality, and overall condition of equipment, amenities, and interior and exterior spaces. Supervises, prioritizes, assigns, and evaluates the work of assigned employees, as well as oversees and evaluates work of contractors and vendors responsible for facility maintenance services.

Oversees and performs the maintenance of building systems, aquatics systems, fitness equipment, facility assets, and related infrastructure while managing preventative maintenance programs, maintenance contracts, inspections, testing, certifications, maintenance records, and regulatory compliance activities. Coordinates and performs the setup, breakdown, transportation, and proper storage of city and facility assets required to support city-sponsored events, recreation programs, and community activities.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five years of progressively responsible facility maintenance experience, including supervisory responsibilities, project management, inspection coordination, contractor oversight, preventative maintenance, or maintenance program administration.
• At least two years of plumbing, mechanical, and/or electrical experience.
• At least one year of aquatics maintenance experience.
• Any combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered

• Valid Class "C" drivers license with good driving record.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certificate required within six (6) months of hire if not currently held.
• TDA Pesticide Applicator Vector license within six (6) months of hire if not currently held.
• One or more of the following preferred
• Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Certified Professional Facility Manager (CPFM)
• HVAC Technician Certification
• Electrician Apprentice license with electrical working experience or above
• Plumbing Apprentice license with plumbing work experience or above
• Boiler Certificate of Operation or Boiler Inspector license

Salary: $53619.54 - $80429.32 per year
