Working Foreman, Recreation Maintenance

Reporting to the Superintendent of Recreation Maintenance, the Working Foreman will be responsible to performsupervisory and manual work related to the operation of recreational site maintenance.

• Assist in the assignment of daily tasks.
• Assigns and supervises the operation, maintenance and repair of all types of departmental equipment.
• Performs all types of recreation maintenance tasks.
• Order equipment, parts, and maintains supplies
• Operates, maintains, and repairs equipment.
• Conducts regular inspections of work; maintains safe working conditions.
• Assists in managing a maintenance and repair schedule.
• Assists in prepares regular reports, budgets, and RFPs.
• Performs related duties as required.

• High School diplomaor equivalent, Basic computer skills
• Minimum of 3 year of progressively responsiblerelated experience, including 1 year in supervisory capacity.
• Valid Class B CDL, MA Hoisting Engineer’s License, and Certified Pool Operator License
• Certified Playground Safety Inspector preferred
• Supervisory and organizational skills
• Ability to Ability to communicate effectively and maintain goodpublic relations

This is a union position within the Burlington Municipal Employees Association bargaining unit. Salary is within Grade 8B, Step 1 of the BMEA contract.

Pay starts at $36.81/hour This is a full time position, 40 hours per week, and includes comprehensive & generous benefits.
