Job Summary
Oversees, maintains, and performs non-skilled repairs on equipment and other structures within a distribution center.
Responsibilities- Complete basic building maintenance tasks or work with vendors on more complex tasks, including painting, plumbing, electrical lighting, HVAC, and material handling equipment repairs.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment for distribution associates.
- Perform limited preventative maintenance inspections on assigned warehouse equipment assets and buildings.
- Deliver equipment status reports on open and closed maintenance work orders.
- Provide operational support for general warehouse duties.
- Assist with parts inventory management and report maintenance problems to management.
- Operate material handling equipment, battery equipment, and other powered equipment.
- Ensure hazardous materials are properly stored, managed, and maintained.
- 1+ years of experience performing general building maintenance functions.
- Experience with painting, general plumbing, electrical, and HVAC maintenance.
- Knowledge of mechanical building construction of commercial properties.
HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred. Generally, 2‑5 years of experience in area of responsibility.
Work EnvironmentTypically located in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors that may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness, such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds; stand for periods up to and exceeding 60 minutes; make repetitive movements such as using a 10‑key or calculator, bending, or squatting.
Overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Pay Range: $20.50–$23.60 hourly. Positions available in CA, CO, CT, D.C., HI, IL, MA, MD, MN, NJ, NV, NY, OH, RI, VT, WA.
