Porter, Maintenance​/Cleaning

Jefferson Apartment Group is a full-service real estate firm specializing in multifamily and mixed‑use real estate investments through acquisition, development, construction and property management services. We are seeking a Porter to join our team at J Centra Burlington, a new 500‑unit Class A multifamily development located in the Philadelphia suburb of Burlington, New Jersey. The community spans 20 buildings across 40 acres with a mix of 1, 2, and 3‑bedroom apartments and townhomes, some with den or loft options.

Pay Rate: $19.00 hourly. The Porter may be required to work weekends.

• Strive to perform duties in the most cost‑effective manner
• Ensure timely communication with the maintenance staff
• Maintain a service‑oriented environment by exhibiting a professional appearance and attitude
• Provide excellent customer service to residents, vendors and all internal and external customers
• May be required to work weekends

• Keep property, management office and landscaping clean by inspecting each morning and picking up any trash littering the grounds
• Keep mail rooms clean – sweep floors, remove dated notices from bulletin boards, etc.
• Replace light bulbs in common areas as needed
• Assist with apartment make‑readies – caulk, check appliances and smoke detector, replace parts, etc.
• Clean air‑conditioning vents and replace filters in all vacant apartments
• Install, move and hook up appliances as needed
• Replace air filters as part of the preventative maintenance schedule for all occupied apartments
• Clean pool area – hose down area, pick up trash, straighten chairs, etc.
• Maintain courtyard areas – keep grilling areas clean and courtyard furniture in good condition
• Walk garage daily to ensure cleanliness
• Perform light painting duties as directed
• Other duties will be assigned according to urgency

• High School Diploma preferred
• Ability to lift 80–100 pounds on a regular basis
