The Role
Reporting to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager, the Custodian is pivotal in upholding the organization s commitment to operational excellence. This role ensures the property is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, functionality, and safety, fostering a welcoming and well-maintained environment for all employees. By promoting a culture of safety, efficiency, and organizational pride, the Custodian supports the company s mission to create a safe and productive workplace, overseeing the upkeep of both indoor and outdoor spaces.
HowYou’ll Make a Difference
- Ensure compliance with PPE and COVID cleaning protocols, maintaining stock levels of items such as hairnets, masks, gloves, lab coats, and other protective gear.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including:
- Cleaning and disinfecting floors, restrooms, lunchrooms, and common areas.
- Emptying trash and recycling bins.
- Dusting and sanitizing surfaces, doorknobs, and high-touch areas.
- Cleaning windows and maintaining clear visibility.
- Refill and maintain functionality of paper, soap, and sanitizer dispensers across the facility.
- Collaborate with the Inventory Specialist to manage and restock janitorial supplies and chemicals, ensuring consistent inventory availability.
- Operate and maintain commercial cleaning equipment, including vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance for all office and lobby spaces.
