Biomedical Equipment Technician - Mullica Hill, NJ
This position supports the Multi‑Vendor Biomedical business with our clients. The role will be responsible for customer relationship management through the effective use of technical knowledge to install, troubleshoot, and service Biomedical Equipment at customer sites.
Responsibilities- Perform preventative maintenance and service repair on equipment utilizing the service manual, OJT, OEM or third‑party training.
- Identify and resolve customer issues, providing appropriate communication and involving relevant site service personnel.
- Maintain customer satisfaction as the primary goal, demonstrating ownership in difficult circumstances and showing a sense of urgency about delivering results.
- Independently complete preventive maintenance, field change orders, installations, and all related tasks, diagnosing and resolving electronic, network, and mechanical problems.
- At least 2 years of experience servicing medical equipment; experience with general biomedical devices, patient monitoring, blood pressure monitors, defibrillators, or infusion pumps preferred.
- Associate’s degree in electronics or an equivalent combination of education and experience; BSEE, BSEET, BSME, or BSMET preferred.
- Working knowledge of electronic circuit boards, schematics, processors, computer hardware, applications, programming, and system functionality. Ability to apply electronic, mechanical, and networking theory to install, diagnose, and repair equipment, and familiarity with necessary tools and test equipment.
- Ability to perform the minimum physical, cognitive, and environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for a field service position.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and on‑call rotations, and to safely operate with radiation sources and radioactive materials while wearing required personal protective equipment.
- Ability to travel to accounts within the area when needed.
This is a field role. Field staff work on‑site at customer or supplier locations. The position requires residence within commuting distance to Mullica Hill, NJ.
Compensation and BenefitsThe hourly pay range for this position in New Jersey is $30.00 to $46.00, plus overtime eligible. The role also includes on‑call pay, training, and advancement opportunities. Base pay may vary within the posted range based on experience, business needs, location, and internal equity.
Additional compensation may include an annual incentive plan, field service incentive bonus, sales commission, or long‑term incentives.
