Responsibilities
  • Perform custodial cleaning services in a team setting across university buildings.
  • Clean and maintain floor surfaces using approved supplies, chemicals and equipment.
  • Clean water fountains, waste receptacles, and windows.
  • Remove trash and recycle items.
  • Maintain a safe and clean living, learning and work environment.
  • Be on-call to respond to after‑hours emergencies.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures.
  • Operate a University vehicle (if applicable).
  • Engage in principles of social justice, inclusion, environmental sustainability, and outstanding customer service.
  • Work under direct supervision of the Custodial Supervisor, supporting the department mission of providing a clean, safe, and healthy university environment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Elementary school education required.
  • Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one; driver’s check may be required.
  • Ability to lift and push/pull up to 50 lbs. occasionally; specific physical requirements may apply.
  • Successful completion of physical screening and background check.
  • Demonstrated ongoing commitment to workplace diversity, sustainability, and excellent customer service.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Competency in conversational English.
Special Conditions
  • Probationary period may be required.
  • Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required (overtime may apply to non‑exempt positions).
  • Position is ineligible for telework due to essential functions.
  • Background check required.
  • Post‑offer pre‑employment physical examination required.
