Grade: 7 Starting Pay Range: $15.00 - $19.80/hour

This position supports the work of the Y and helps to ensure facilities are well maintained and clean for staff and members of all backgrounds and abilities.

• Must maintain and keep building facility and property in clean and orderly condition such as trash removal, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, dusting, and vacuuming.
• Ensure all restrooms, locker rooms, hallways, stairwells, program rooms, fitness centers and outside grounds are clean and safe.
• Move furniture and equipment as required to properly and thoroughly clean areas including windows.
• Assist with event set ups and breaking down of seating and equipment.
• Ensure bathroom supplies including and not limited to, toilet tissue, towels, soap etc. are refilled.
• During winter months be prepared to assist with snow removal.
• Perform light maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Notify managers regarding the need for repairs.

• Occasional work outside the facility to clean the facility grounds such as removal of debris and during inclement weather requiring snow removal.
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for many hours.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders of different heights.

• Minimum Qualifications
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Must possess a valid State of Vermont driver's license
• Preferred Qualifications
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• Previous custodial experience preferred.
