Responsibilities- Assist with plans, supervise maintenance program, and perform assigned duties related to facilities, including heating, cooling, plumbing, water, gas, electrical, mechanical, oxygen, communication systems, carpentry, painting, plastering, refinishing, flooring, and related work.
- Manage care of grounds and maintain institutional equipment and vehicles.
- Operate power plant and maintain overall facility systems safely and efficiently.
- Carry out electricity, plumbing, painting, carpentry (including furniture refinishing or repair), mechanics (including equipment and mechanical systems), and heating, cooling, water systems with attention to service contracts.
- Assist with schedules for maintenance repair, replacement, and new installations of equipment and power plant machinery.
- Perform duties related to maintenance of grounds, parking lots, driveways, and snow/ice removal, except those under service contract.
- Handle incoming and outgoing freight, lift and move heavy furniture and equipment.
- Assist with maintaining records and plans of the TELS preventative maintenance system.
- Coordinate maintenance department work with other functions to avoid interrupting resident care or normal business functions.
- Assist with inventory record of requisitions, supplies, and equipment within the department.
- Supervise work performed by outside vendor contractors as needed.
- Drive company vehicle as required.
- Attend facility meetings, staff meetings, and required or preferred in‑services.
- Generate and develop ideas that improve the quality of care for residents or increase position productivity and satisfaction.
- Respond flexibly to changing situations to meet current needs, including reprioritizing work as necessary.
- Take calls on off‑hours (evening and weekend) and adjust schedule to meet facility needs, including participation in on‑call program.
- Utilize electronic timekeeping system as directed.
- Arrive to work on time, regularly, and work as scheduled.
- Recognize and follow the dress code, wearing name tag at all times.
- Follow policies regarding all electronic devices, computers, tablets, etc.

- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor, management staff, or Administrator.
