The American National Red Cross seeks a skilled General Maintenance Tech III to support safe, reliable operations at our facilities. In this mission-driven role, you will perform advanced preventive and corrective maintenance across building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment. You'll troubleshoot issues, complete work orders, coordinate with vendors, and uphold safety and compliance standards. Working closely with staff and volunteers, you'll help maintain readiness for disaster response and community programs while modeling our values of compassion and service.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, equipment, and facilities to ensure safe, continuous operations.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical issues and complete timely, code-compliant repairs.
  • Conduct routine inspections, document findings, and prioritize work orders using maintenance management systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and monitor quality and safety compliance.
  • Support disaster response readiness by maintaining emergency equipment, backup systems, and storage areas.
  • Assist with minor construction, carpentry, painting, and general facility improvements as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA, safety, and Red Cross facility standards; maintain clean, organized work spaces.
  • Respond to urgent maintenance requests and on-call needs to minimize downtime and service disruption.
  • Collaborate with operations, program, and volunteer teams to support mission-critical activities and events.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, materials used, and equipment inventories.
