The Head Custodian is non-exempt, hourly position that will report to both the building principal and property service leadership. This position is governed by the Agreement between the Burlington Board of School Commissioners and Property Services Employees of the Burlington School District. The Head Custodian at the Burlington School District works to provide a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for students and staff in which to teach, learn, and grow.
Head Custodians ensure the proper and ongoing maintenance of the school building(s), grounds, school equipment, and custodial equipment. Supervises building custodians.
The Essential Functions of this position include:
- Plan and oversee all custodial work, and maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
