Seasonal Maintenance II Streets

Overview

As a Seasonal Maintenance II worker in our Streets Department, you will perform semi-skilled work supporting city street maintenance, including asphalt patching, concrete repairs, and light equipment maintenance as assigned.

The Public Works Department plays an important role in the daily lives of residents and visitors by maintaining city streets, water and storm systems, and municipal facilities.

This is an hourly, non-exempt position starting at $17.42 per hour. Summer hours are 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with no evening or weekend work.

• Assist with performing skilled work in the maintenance of city streets.
• Assist with patches asphalt, repairs concrete, and catch basin cleaning.
• Set up and remove work zone traffic control devices.
• Operate small and medium trucks with trailer and small motorized equipment.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• A valid Class D Driver’s License or the eligibility to obtain.
• A background or interest in local government work serving the community.
• An interest in developing what you do best and a commitment to valuing each colleague for their unique perspectives.
