Havenwood of Burnsville is recruiting for a hospitality focused Plant Operations Technician to join our team! This role is responsible for assisting with the care and maintenance of all aspects of the community’s physical plant to include maintaining an effective preventative maintenance program.

• Perform general maintenance duties, such as fixing wall covers, floor covers and some furniture and fixtures; light plumbing work, minor electrical repair and appliance repairs.
• Receive service requests and respond in a timely manner.
• Perform painting and refurbishing projects, as directed by supervisor.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, as directed by supervisor.
• Perform minor building and equipment repairs.
• Complete all work in the order of priority set by supervisor.
• Assist, during winter, with snow removal efforts as necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness of fountains, pumping and filtration system, where appropriate.
• Perform maintenance on irrigation system (valves, timers and nozzles).
• Perform routine maintenance on all vehicles when assigned.
• Maintain all tools, equipment and supplies in proper condition.
• WHEN QUALIFIED, assist the Director of Plant Operations and/or perform work on the heating and air conditioning systems, domestic water systems, refrigeration systems, pumps, motors, fans, electrical systems and emergency generators.
• Maintain exterior and interior of all buildings.

• The ability to speak, read and comprehend the English language
• Good communication skills (oral and written)
• Good inter-department communication and teamwork skills
• Capable of administering employee incentive, retention and training programs
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products
