In this role, you will help ensure residents enjoy a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained living environment through preventative maintenance, skilled repairs, and unit preparation. The Maintenance Technician independently performs maintenance tasks while collaborating with property management and maintenance leadership.

Success in this role requires strong technical troubleshooting ability, prioritization skills, attention to safety, and effective communication.

Schedule:

Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM (Full-Time, 40 hours/week), plus participation in after-hours on-call rotation for maintenance emergencies.

On-Call Incentive:
Eligible for $100 per week when assigned to on-call rotation.

Complete work orders including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, drywall, painting, appliance repair, and general maintenance tasks. Perform preventative maintenance and general repairs on building interior and exterior systems. Respond to emergency maintenance service requests and participate in the on-call rotation. Assist with snow and ice removal when applicable and document completion. Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling of chemicals and understanding Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).

Conduct routine inspections including daily walkthroughs, move-in and move-out inspections, and other building inspections with and without internal and external agents involved. Maintain organization and cleanliness of the maintenance shop and supply inventory. Communicate updates and concerns regarding property conditions to property management and maintenance leadership. Travel to other sites within the portfolio as needed to provide maintenance support. Maintain possession of required tools necessary to perform maintenance duties.
