Controller, Accounting, Accounting Manager

The Controller is responsible for overseeing the organization’s accounting operations, including cost accounting, payables, and financial reporting. This role leads close activities, strengthens internal controls, and drives continuous improvement across accounting processes and team performance.

• Lead monthly and annual close processes, including account analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Oversee financial recordkeeping, standard cost accounting, and internal control frameworks across the business.
• Prepare internal and external financial reports in compliance with U.S. GAAP.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities in partnership with senior leadership.
• Identify cost containment and process improvement opportunities across operations.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data through strong controls and review procedures.
• Partner with executive leadership by providing timely, decision-support financial insights.
• Support audit activities and coordinate with external service providers as needed.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff, fostering accountability and collaboration.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong background in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing close processes, general ledger activities, and financial reporting.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems and accounting process optimization.
• Experience supporting audits and financial reviews.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Proven ability to lead and develop accounting professionals.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools.
• CPA preferred but not required.
