Controller, Accounting, Financial Controller

Steven Douglas has been retained to identify a Corporate Controller. Our client is a global and well-established, growth-oriented chemical manufacturing company in the agricultural sciences space.

You will lead the accounting activities for North America as the Controller. Leading a team you will be responsible for the general ledger, month-end close process, and manufacturing cost accounting, while partnering with management to provide financial analysis that supports strategic and operational decision-making.

• Own and execute full‑cycle accounting operations and month‑end close
• Prepare and review financial statements and reporting packages
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Partner with Finance leadership on process improvement and internal controls
• Help guide the upcoming systems transition to SAP

• Strong hands‑on accounting/controllership experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment
• CPA a plus but not required
• Experience with Quick Books, Odoo, or SAP a plus
• Mandarin language skills a plus, but not required
• Ability to be in Burr Ridge, IL office three days a week
• Occasional travel to Champaign, IL
