What you will enjoy doing- Support and lead the design, development, commercialization, and global migration of gas application technologies and equipment in the Food and Beverage sector, including food freezing and chilling systems, and atmosphere control applications.
- Support identification, design, development, implementation, and demonstration of new and legacy food technologies from conception, through proof‑of‑concept, scale‑up, all the way to initial commercialization and global migration of Food application technology and equipment.
- Work closely with various functional groups within Linde, including Regional Business Units, business development, sales, marketing, engineering, and the global Linde Technology team, as well as external customers and partners.
- Design, build, and test application equipment within project teams and to support and lead major research and development programs.
- Execute technology demonstrations and business growth opportunities for customers.
- Identify new concepts in gas applications for industry and assess their technical and commercial merits.
- Build, test, or demonstrate systems with controls in Linde labs, manufacturing facilities, or customer plants.
- Design controlled and efficient experimental programs, and execute experiments at bench, pilot, and commercial scales.
- Evaluate literature and experimental data, write reports, and prepare summaries.
- Present results to management, colleagues, and customers at technical meetings.
- Prepare invention and patent disclosures.
- Provide future development program recommendations to management.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, equipment, controls, refrigeration, industrial, chemical, or food engineering required;
Master’s degree preferred. - Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of equipment and mechanical design, controls, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, mass and energy balances, process design, and basic economic evaluation.
- Experience and interest in equipment and process controls, including PLCs, preferred.
- Experience in successful equipment development and commercialization, preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 25%, including international travel as needed.

- Salary range: $81,600 - $112,200.
