System Engineer for SW Integration
Roles and Responsibilities:- Document requirements, system architectures, system designs, test cases and acceptance criteria.
- Support software implementation and integration working directly with the Software Engineering team.
- Support product validation and production, working with Test Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers and Technical Publication groups.
- Work with the Safety Engineer to fulfill the necessary Functional Safety requirements (ISO
25119) - Support the Hardware Component Engineer with system integration and design validation (DV) issues.
- Troubleshoot problems and develop root cause through hardware and software failure analysis and testing. Support plants, suppliers and customers to resolve issues.
- Actively assist the Project Manager with managing external supplier(s) to ensure that their deliverables meet the project requirements and overall CNHi needs.
- Conduct work item reviews with stakeholders and suppliers.
- Incorporate and encourage the use of central standards, methodologies, and processes into the Engineering team's daily work tasks.
- Actively communicate with external suppliers and internal customers regarding product development issues.
- B.S.or M.S. in Electrical, Computer or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience
- Minimum 3 years of Systems Engineering and Requirements Management skills.
- Minimum 2 years of Embedded Systems or Software design.
- Minimum 2 years engineering experience in Off-Highway, Automotive, or Commercial vehicle industry or other highly process orientated systems engineering environment such as aerospace, medical equipment or cellular industries.
- Minimum 1 year experience with CAN in-vehicle networking.
- Product development experience of in vehicle body control systems.
- Extensive knowledge of in-vehicle communications architectures and protocols (e.g. CAN, LIN, J1939, ISOBUS, XCP, UDS, KWP
2000, Flex Ray, etc.). - Experience using Requirements Management tools such as Polarion or DOORS.
- Experience with DFMEAs.
- Knowledge of Functional Safety standards (e.g. ISO 26262, 25119, 13849).
- Experience with Test design and development methodologies.
- Experience developing and maintaining organization wide engineering standards and processes.
- Experience with Hardware design.
- Understanding of programming in C, C++, and structured software.
- Experience using Model Based Development design using tools such as Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow, or Embedded coder.
- Understanding of Virtual prototyping / MIL / SIL / HIL principles.
- Experience with network design and analysis tools such as Vector PREEvision, CANAlyzer, CANoe, and CANdela.
- Experience with issue tracking and workflow tools such as Polarion, Bugzilla, Clear Quest, Trac, etc.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Subversion, SVN, Clearcase, Git, etc.
- Experience with vehicle calibration using a tool such as ETAS INCA, Vector CANape, or dSPACE Control Desk.
- Project Management skills and experience.
