Brookhaven Market is hiring a Full Time Assistant Manager (onsite) in Burr Ridge, IL, paying $55,000–$70,000/year. This role exists to keep the store running sharp, the team supported, and customers leaving happy.

You'll be responsible for:

• Helping drive store performance through smart, practical business strategies
• Coaching and training the sales team to hit sales goals
• Supporting employee relations and handling issues with fairness and follow-through
• Protecting an excellent customer experience and strong satisfaction scores
• Keeping the store compliant with policies and in standout condition

What you’ll bring:

• Proven successful experience as a retail manager
• Strong leadership, business orientation, and customer management skills
• Great organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Independent decision‑making; sets the example, motivates others, and calls attention to success
• Ability to stand/walk for the shift and lift up to 50 lbs.

Start your shift with a quick lap around the store—what’s looking fresh, what’s running low, and where shoppers are naturally flowing. From there, it’s a mix of short check‑ins, friendly coaching, and hopping in to smooth out the little snags that pop up (a customer question, a team hiccup, a “we need this fixed now” moment). You’ll keep an eye on the big picture—service, standards, and the pace of the day—while making smart calls as priorities shift.

Before you head out, you’ll make sure everything’s set up for a strong tomorrow: the floor looks sharp, the team’s in a good groove, and the next game plan is clear.
