Building Maintenance Technician

Arbors Management Inc., a leading property management company in Western Pennsylvania, is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to support our apartment and affordable housing communities. In this hands-on role, you will perform repairs, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance for residential units, building systems, and common areas. Responsibilities include responding to work orders, maintaining HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical components, ensuring curb appeal, and supporting unit turns.

You will work closely with property managers and residents, upholding our resident-focused, service-oriented culture while ensuring safe, clean, and well-maintained properties.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency repairs for building systems, fixtures, and common areas
• Conduct preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment
• Complete work orders promptly while communicating status with property management and residents
• Inspect buildings, units, and grounds to identify maintenance and safety issues
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs as needed
• Maintain maintenance logs, inventory of parts, and proper use of tools and equipment
• Ensure curb appeal, cleanliness, and safety of interior and exterior common areas
• Follow safety protocols, building codes, and company maintenance standards
