Apprentice Field Equipment Technician

Role Overview

As the Specialist, Facilities, you will provide support to an assigned region of restaurants through Preventative Maintenance Site Audits and reactionary requests, helping deliver an environment of World Class Food Safety and an Excellent Guest Experience.

• Perform four Preventative Maintenance Site Audits in each assigned location annually
• Complete reactionary service calls in a timely and cost‑effective manner
• Continue to learn additional trades contributing to higher in‑house repairs
• Partner with local and national vendors to ensure work is completed to Chipotle’s standards
• Collaborate with sub‑regional leadership team to have a unified purpose and vision inside our locations
• Manage direct M&R budget of assigned locations
• Work directly with Apprentice Facilities Manager or Facilities manager to identify capital improvement needs, get quotes, and validate quality and workmanship after installation
• Source, organize and track parts and inventory for needed repairs
• Manage Service Channel requests to ensure all items are entered and closed out correctly; give SC training to restaurants when needed
• Partner with Facilities Support Team to ensure requests are assigned and completed in an efficient manner
• Meet all administrative deadlines for mileage, Pcards, Inventories, and Tru‑ups

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• Trade School Certificate preferred
• Clean Motor Vehicle Report required; EPA Certification preferred
• 0–1 year’s experience in related field; 1+ year(s) experience in the restaurant industry
• Mechanically inclined
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point
• Able to lift 50 pounds and use ladders frequently
• Overnight travel may be required
• Ability to work independently for much of the day
• Must be able to plan and organize schedules and stick to the plan
• Effective communication skills via email and phone conversations

Pay Transparency: A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $25.96–$32.46. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors.
