Custodian 1 - Part Time
Position:
Custodian 1 – Part Time.
Hours:
19 hours per week, 12:00–4:00 PM Monday–Thursday and 3:00–4:00 PM Friday (subject to change). Pay: $15.15 per hour.
Location:
Montana Tech North Campus.
- Clean campus offices, laboratories, classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and other assigned areas as required.
- Maintain the appearance of buildings, including entrances, exits, and surrounding grounds; perform snow removal of sidewalks adjacent to buildings.
- Follow safe work practices, participate in safety and custodial training, and use cleaning products and equipment responsibly.
- Lift 40–60 lbs from ground level to a height of 4–6 ft and carry 30 lbs over a maximum distance of 30 ft, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Follow oral and written instructions, solve problems that arise during the cleaning process, and work both independently and as part of a team when required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the custodial manager.
Required:
- Ability to follow written and oral communications and solve problems during the cleaning process.
Preferred:
- Experience in institutional or commercial custodial work, such as waxing floors.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning methods, procedures, and cleaning machines.
- Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for cleaning products.
- Lift 40–60 lbs from ground level to a height of 4–6 ft; carry 30 lbs over a maximum distance of 30 ft, with or without reasonable accommodation.
