Salary Range: $19.50 To $23.00 Hourly

POSITION OVERVIEWMaintains existing customer base by servicing customers’ needs that include mounting, dismounting, balancing, and repairs on site and off site for customers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Inspect and diagnose service and tire problems on customer vehicles; communicate necessary repairs and/or replacement of parts, recommend additional preventative services, and help sell services to customers if warranted.
- Provide excellent customer service to existing accounts by staying in touch, following up immediately, and resolving issues.
- Take on call and after‑hours calls.
- Complete service orders, process tickets, invoices and bills for customers, verify credit status, make billing adjustments, initiate purchase orders for parts, assist with updating information on the computer, and maintain records/files for follow‑up.
- Operate air compressor, impact gun, hub‑cap hammer, and other machines and tools.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and mechanical maintenance, ensuring vehicle registration, insurance, safety and OSHA materials and devices are up-to-date. Submit fuel receipts to accounting for processing.
- Perform tire work (retail and/or commercial, on and off site).
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
- Mount and dismount, perform air pressure checks and repairs (fleet checks).
- Ensure lug nuts are tightened to the proper torque specifications.
- Perform fleet inspections and properly document results.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
- Support company safety and operational standards and adhere to all requirements, including driving requirements; see policy on speeding and harsh driving.
- Complete all necessary training including TIA training and other requirements.
- Demonstrate Commercial Tire Technician requirements.
- Submit fuel receipts weekly to accounting for processing.
- Demonstrate over a 6‑month period the ability to conform to DOT and Commercial Tire driving requirements and follow applicable Company Policies.
- Basys (Telenet not MIM):
- Demonstrate how to write up castings for retreads or scrap.
- Check a bar code and explain the screen.
- Acquire all pictures/documents required by accounts.
- Follow proper procedures for a service call on the side of the road (cones, flashers, parking, etc.).
- Understand basic matching of tires/where and why to install (e.g., avoid placing new tires on the same axle as bald ones).
