As a Day Cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the store during daytime hours. Your responsibilities include cleaning various areas of the store, such as restrooms, break rooms, and public areas, to ensure a safe and inviting environment for customers and employees.

• Perform general janitorial duties to ensure overall cleanliness and tidiness of the store.
• Empty trash bins and replace liners in designated areas, ensuring proper disposal of waste.
• Sweep and mop floors in aisles, entryways, and other public areas to remove debris and maintain cleanliness.
• Clean and sanitize break rooms, including tables, chairs, and appliances, to provide a clean and comfortable space for employees.
• Dust and wipe down surfaces, including shelves, counters, and display cases, to remove dirt and grime.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.
• Follow cleaning schedules and checklists to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely and thorough manner.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and sanitation.
• Assist with Courtesy Clerk duties as needed and any other duties as specified by the department manager.

  Stand for extended periods, bend, stoop, and lift heavy objects as needed during cleaning tasks.

• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred but not required.
• Availability to work morning and daytime hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and reaching.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques and products, as well as safety protocols for handling cleaning chemicals.
• Consistent and reliable attendance of your scheduled shifts.
