Commercial Operations Assistant to oversee both the maintenance and repair operations of the company buildings and grounds, and vehicle fleet, ensuring safety, compliance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. This role also provides transportation and delivery services, assuring safety and compliance. The combined facility operations with fleet operations, requires strong organizational, technical, and leadership skills.

Essential Job Functions
  • Deliver and pick up a variety of products and materials utilized for Witco's commercial operations.
Facilities Management
  • Inspect buildings and grounds to ensure compliance with safety, accessibility, and environmental codes.
  • Identify and prioritize maintenance, repair, and capital improvement needs.
  • Schedule and coordinate repair projects, cleaning routines, and facility upgrades.
  • Supervise maintenance staff and delegate tasks for repairs, cleaning, and facility upkeep.
  • Coordinate with third party vendors for buildings, grounds, and safety services evaluating and ensuring work performed is to company quality and safety standards.
  • Monitor budgets for facilities operations, repairs, and supplies.
  • Enforce workplace safety, emergency, and security protocols.
Fleet Management
  • Maintain vehicle fleet record keeping, reporting.
  • Plan and schedule preventive maintenance; coordinate urgent repairs as needed.
  • Establish efficient routes, transportation schedules, and delivery logistics.
  • Monitor fuel usage, maintenance costs, and fleet performance metrics.
  • Develop and implement fleet policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Train staff on safe and efficient vehicle operation.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid, clean driver's license with at least 3 years' driving experience
  • 3+ years repairs or facilities maintenance experience
  • Familiarity with operating larger vehicles and motorized lifts
  • Ability to maintain accurate records of all vehicles, equipment, and facilities in spreadsheets
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Clean and neat appearance; professional demeanor
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
