District Wide. Hourly Rate: $30.23 (Custodial Salary Schedule). This position is eligible for membership in the International Union of Operating Engineers Local No. 286.
Custodial Rovers will work flexible hours for either a day or night shift, communicating with District and site administrators regarding the care, cleaning, and maintenance of school facilities. They will perform custodial activities at an assigned Lake Washington School District facility to maintain buildings, office space, and grounds. Custodial Rovers are responsible for sanitation, maintenance, safety, comfort, and security of school or district buildings to create and maintain a safe and pleasant environment for students and staff.
Education and Experience- High school diploma, G.E.D., or work experience related to core functions of the position.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Post-employment physical required.
- Must pass criminal background check.
Occasionally (1‑33%): sit, lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs. Frequently (34‑66%): lift and/or carry up to 25 lbs.; bend, squat, crawl, climb, and reach above shoulder level and twist. Continuously (67‑100%): walk and stand. Occasionally: exposed to unprotected heights, dust, fumes, gases and commercial‑strength chemicals, marked changes in temperature/humidity, and around moving machinery. The job requires 65% walking, 20% standing, and 15% sitting.
