California Psychiatric Transitions is a fully licensed 98 bed Mental Health Rehabilitation Center located on seven and a half acres in the heart of the San Joaquin Valley.
QualificationsThis position requires the ability to multitask with minimal supervision. At a minimum, staff must have a high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate. Previous maintenance experience, especially in a hospital or similar facility, is preferred. Candidates should have general knowledge of or experience with drywall repair, painting, electrical work, plumbing, flooring, and other routine maintenance tasks.
Job DutiesCalifornia Psychiatric Transitions will employ Maintenance Staff who will be responsible for preventative maintenance of the facility and carry out the required maintenance program. Their duties shall include but not be limited to follow:
- Keep the grounds and building free of environmental pollutants and any nuisance that would adversely affect the health or welfare of clients to the extent that such conditions are within our control.
- Ensuring that all equipment provided shall meet all applicable California Occupational Safety and Health Act requirements and informing the Director of any equipment that is or may become out of compliance.
- Ensuring that the facility is maintained free of all vermin and rodents through operation of a pest control program.
- Ensuring all buildings, fixtures, equipment and spaces are maintained in operable condition.
- Maintaining the maintenance log of work performed on heating, air conditioning and ventilation. And ensuring that those systems are in a safe, normal, operating condition in compliance with all Local, State and Federal law.
- Ensuring that all electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems are maintained in safe, normal, operating conditions in compliance with all applicable Local, State and Federal law.
- Ensuring that the air filters are inspected, cleaned or replaced regularly as necessary to maintain the system in safe normal operating condition in compliance with all Local, State and Federal law. Making a written record of said inception, cleaning or replacement.
Due to the unpredictable nature of the psychiatric profession employees are to engage in crisis prevention procedures for the safety, health and welfare of the residents and staff. In addition to specific job duties, due to the nature of the psychiatric field, at times, you will be expected to stand for long periods of time, bend, kneel, lift, carry and walk swiftly or run.
Pay range: $23.00 to $24.00 per hour
