Under the supervision of a Custodial Supervisor - You will assist in cleaning assigned areas, patient rooms, nursing stations, ancillary rooms, exam rooms, procedure rooms, conference rooms, offices, hallways, corridors, public areas, etc. as needed. Responsible for assisting in the training of new personnel.

Ability to operate vacuum cleaners, buffers, wall and window washing, shampoo machines, and floor machines. Sweep, strip, and wax floors. Perform isolation room cleaning. Perform high and low dusting. Clean vertical and horizontal surfaces using the approved cleaning solutions. Must have knowledge in the correct use and storage of disinfectants, cleaning solutions, soap, detergents, and floor waxes, is preferred.

Salary range: $21.05 - 27.21/Hourly

Effective 06/22/2025, employees represented by the AFSCME Union will receive a minimum wage of $25.

* Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy while directing co-workers.

* Ability to interact effectively with patients, customers, and associates in a way that exhibits superior integrated customer service and teamwork.

* Ability to operate all types of housekeeping equipment (vacuum cleaners, floor machines, carpet extractors, auto scrubbers, pressure/steam cleaning machines, etc).

* Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks effectively and efficiently.

* Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.

* Ability to take initiative and follow through.

* Ability to work within defined time constraints.

* Excellent listening and verbal communication skills.

* Excellent organization and problem-solving skills. Must be able to frequently:

* Ability to bend the waist while standing. Lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50lbs, stoop and squat, twisting and bending of the neck forward and backward. Able to work in a standing position for long periods.

* As a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts an offer of employment will be required to disclose if they have been subject to any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed any misconduct; or have filed an appeal of a finding of substantiated misconduct with a previous employer.
