Asset Coordinator

Overview

Amentum is seeking an Asset Coordinator to support Operations & Maintenance activities. This role is responsible for planning, prioritizing, and coordinating maintenance to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable operation of site equipment. The position directly supports operational uptime, safety compliance, efficient execution of maintenance, and accurate documentation across campus facilities.

• Ensure safety, quality, and compliance standards are met for all asset maintenance activities, overseeing subcontractor execution and performance.
• Perform site inspections of hoists, MEWPs, forklifts, elevators, and related equipment to assess condition, safety, and readiness.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance with appropriate subcontractors to meet safety, mechanical, and operational requirements.
• Oversee elevator and vertical transportation systems across campus facilities, including routine preventive and corrective maintenance, annual state inspections, and execution of complex repairs and capital projects through subcontractor coordination.
• Evaluate maintenance requests, set priorities, and assign work to internal teams or external vendors.
• Build and maintain a network of qualified and certified vendors for lifting and material handling equipment.
• Monitor vendor performance to ensure schedule adherence, safety compliance, and quality of work.
• Review bids, proposals, and scope of work for technical accuracy and cost effectiveness.
• Support pricing evaluations for materials, rentals, and service contracts.
• Ensure all work orders, inspections, certifications, and documentation are completed accurately and on time.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• High school diploma or demonstrated equivalent.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and conduct routine site walkdowns across a large, multi‑building campus environment.
• Qualified applicants must pass a pre‑employment background check and substance abuse test.
• Must be able to obtain a security access badge at the client’s location.

• 3–5 years of facility maintenance experience in office buildings, manufacturing plants, or other industrial environments.
• 3 years’ experience in asset management.

• Primarily office‑based, required weekly to walk facility and conduct inspections.
• Must be able to sit, type, and engage in normal office activities for extended periods; some tasks require repetitive wrist movement.
• Requires ability to walk extensively throughout facilities during a workday.
• Requires ability to climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs as needed.
• Requires flexibility to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, stretch, and move in a 90‑degree fashion during the workday.
• Requires ability to read and understand information on various documents or computer screens.
• Requires ability to use a variety of office equipment and to operate a computer keyboard to access databases, send/receive messages, and prepare documents.
• Requires ability to attend meetings throughout the site and potentially travel to other Amentum, customer, and/or vendor locations.
• Requires ability to communicate with others over the telephone and in one‑on‑one or group discussions, meetings, and presentations.
• Demonstrated fluency in computer use, including the full Microsoft product line.
• Requires moving light to medium weight materials into desks, filing cabinets, and other storage locations.
• Requires interacting with all clients professionally and friendly despite periods of stress.
• Must wear steel‑toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other PPE as needed in project areas.
• Must be willing to work overtime when required; may be required to work holidays and weekends.

$33.00 – $36.00 per hour (good‑faith estimate; actual compensation may vary based on responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable agreements, and relevant laws).
