Overview

The Pump Maintenance Team Member is responsible for maintaining the exterior and grounds of the Pump & Pantry facility ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and team members. This role supports store operations by performing routine maintenance, minor repairs, and upkeep of outdoor equipment and property.

Responsibilities
  • Paint interior and exterior surfaces as directed.
  • Inspect the facility and notify management of needed major repairs, safety hazards, or issues involving lighting, heating, ventilation, or structural concerns.
  • Operate power equipment such as power washers, lawn mowers, trimmers, snow blowers, and related tools.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the Pump & Pantry grounds, including parking lots, sidewalks, fuel islands, trash areas, and landscaping.
  • Complete assigned daily/shift worklists and submit documentation to the General Manager.
  • Ensure all cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked, labeled, and stored according to company and OSHA standards.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and safe operation of tools and equipment.
  • Provide friendly, competent customer service when interacting with customers or assisting store staff.
  • Report to work on time and maintain reliable attendance.

  • Assist with snow removal, ice melt application, and seasonal outdoor tasks.
  • Support store staff with light indoor maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
  • General maintenance, groundskeeping, custodial, or facility upkeep experience preferred.
  • Experience using power tools, lawn equipment, or maintenance equipment is helpful.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable to drive company or personal vehicles for work tasks.
  • Must possess a positive, enthusiastic attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Must be adaptable and able to adjust to changing priorities or weather conditions.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Must be well-groomed and properly attired according to company standards.
  • Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and varied shifts as needed.
  • Must have reliable transportation and a working phone.
  • Must be able to communicate in English (if applicable).
  • Able and willing to provide friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.
  • Able to work cooperatively with other team members and management.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
